‘Out of my Mind’ is the third volume in the author’s trilogy of ‘Out of …’ books. It comprises a selection of odes and poems that he composed between 1970 and 2010. The subject matter that he covers varies from the celebration of winning a Best Kept Village competition, through specialist offerings on a number of technical subjects (parodies of Rudyard Kipling’s poem ‘If’), to a thank-you note after attending a house-warming party. There is something for every reader. Hopefully it may persuade others to express their feelings and emotions in verse form, whether be at the sight of a beautiful landscape or simply to record an intimate family occasion.
